- Welcome & introduction. Meet at a local dock, a brief safety overview, and get comfortable with your kayak and the route.
- Paddle into the canals. Begin through quiet, lesser-travelled canals and notice the unique landscape of the floating gardens.
- Chinampa exploration. Pause near an active chinampa to learn how it works, why it matters, and how farmers keep it alive today.
- Ecology & conservation. Hear the story of the axolotl, the challenges facing Xochimilco, and the ongoing regeneration efforts.
- Slow moment on the water. Simply be present — the birds, the reflections, the peaceful rhythm of the canals.
- Return & closing. Paddle back with time for questions, reflections and ways to support the local community.
